Am I an employee of RIO or the client company?

Accepted Answer

Workers placed through RIO are engaged as 1099 independent contractors. You are not an employee of RIO or the client company. You are responsible for your own taxes, transportation, and business-related expenses. The client company directs your day-to-day work tasks.

Question 3

How often do I get paid?

Weekly, based on your confirmed Jibble hours. Pay periods run Monday through Sunday and payment is made the following Friday.

What is Jibble and why do I need it?

Jibble is the time clock app all RIO contractors use to clock in and out. Your confirmed Jibble hours are the basis for your weekly pay. No Jibble setup = no payroll setup. We walk you through it during onboarding.

What do I need before my first assignment?

A completed W-9 and an active Jibble account. No W-9 + No Jibble = No payroll setup. Both are required before any assignment begins.

How quickly can I start working?

Many contractors are placed within 48 hours of completing their application and onboarding. Timeline depends on open positions that match your skills and schedule.

We specialize in manufacturing across the Fort Worth and DFW area — welding, CNC, fabrication, production support, and related skilled trades.

How does the RIO support rate model work?

Accepted Answer

Your support rate is a percentage markup on the contractor's base pay. Rate = base pay × support multiplier. Four lanes: Lane A (25%) for production support, Lane B (30%) for skilled trades, Lane C (35%/Quote) for advanced technical, and Lane D (White Glove, $960/wk + 15%) for 10+ worker ramp-ups.

How quickly can you fulfill a workforce request?

Most clients have contractors on site within 24–48 hours of submitting a request. For larger orders (10+ workers), we recommend 3–5 business days to allow for on-site interviews.

Do you conduct on-site interviews before placement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For most placements, we bring candidates to your facility so you meet them before they start. No blind placements.

When can I convert a contractor to a direct employee?

Accepted Answer

After 90 working days (Monday–Friday only, no weekends counted) the conversion is free. Day 46–89: 15% annualized fee with a $3,500 minimum. Day 0–45: 30% annualized fee with a $3,500 minimum. A 12-month no-circumvention clause applies.

Are the workers background checked?

Yes. Every contractor we place is background checked before deployment. Additional pre-screening (drug testing, safety orientation) is available on request.

What happens if a placed contractor is not a good fit?

Contact your RIO account manager. We replace promptly — this is why we conduct on-site interviews first. Your satisfaction with the placement is guaranteed.

We are based in Fort Worth, Texas and serve the greater DFW metroplex including Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, and surrounding areas.
