Industrial Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter - MIG & Metal-Core

Overview

Republic DFW is seeking experienced Industrial Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters for long-term fabrication work in Godley, Texas, south of Fort Worth. This role supports industrial pipe fabrication, structural steel, ASME shop work, process piping, emission control systems, and related fabrication projects. Candidates should be comfortable working in a shop environment, reading drawings, using fabrication tools, and passing weld testing before placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG (GMAW), flux-core (FCAW), and metal-core (MCAW) welding on pipe, plate, and fabricated components.
• Fit, cut, thread, tack, assemble, and weld pipe components according to shop requirements.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, layout drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Complete 1G pipe rollout work and related weld tests as required by the client.
• Use grinders, torches, measuring tools, clamps, welding equipment, and standard fabrication tools safely.
• Follow shop safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality expectations.
• Work with leads, fitters, welders, inspectors, and production teams to complete fabrication projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial welding, pipe welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, or structural welding experience preferred.
• Experience with MIG, flux-core, and/or metal-core welding processes.
• Ability to pass a weld test, including pipe rollout testing when required.
• Ability to read basic blueprints, weld symbols, measurements, and fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable working in an indoor fabrication shop environment.
• Reliable transportation to Godley, TX or approved work location.
• Strong attention to safety, attendance, and work quality.
